Max Compatible Products

Below is a list of the MAX compatible chart plotters that will be on sale in the UK during 2005. The new Furuno Navnet 2 range of radar/chart plotters and all of the Simrad range listed below are new models that will be released in the next few months.

All of the other plotters listed in the table are already on sale in the UK and are 'MAX Ready'. This means that their hardware is designed for MAX and with a simple software update, become fully MAX compatible.It is intended that the software updates will become available during February to perfectly coincide with the release of the MAX cartridges. The software is supplied on a special chart cartridge and updating is very easy; simply insert the software cartridge, turn the unit on and after about 45-60 seconds the chart plotter is updated and ready to use MAX.

Many other manufacturers are busy developing MAX compatible models and during 2005 there will be a flood of new chart plotters released that use MAX.
